Introduction

Should you trust Lirunex with your money? This Lirunex review finds a split answer. The broker holds real licenses, yet the strongest protections reach only some clients. Under our four-factor methodology, Lirunex earns a Bronze Standard rating of 59.0 out of 100.

Lirunex, operated by Lirunex Limited and registered in Mauritius, holds an active Global Business license with the Financial Services Commission under license number GB24203882. The broker operates its retail platform at https://lirunex.com. Its EU arm, Lirunex Ltd, holds CySEC license 338/17. The group also runs a UAE introducing office and serves clients across Asia, Africa and the Middle East. It matters because it pairs a $25 entry point and leverage far above the 1:30 EU cap with one Tier 1 entity. As a result, a client’s protection depends heavily on where that client registers.

Regulation & Safety

Lirunex is regulated, but protection depends on the entity. EU clients sit under a Tier 1 CySEC framework, while most other clients fall under a Tier 2 Mauritius license.

We graded each authority against our four floor tests: activity licensing, product controls, capital safeguards and enforcement oversight. The table below shows the results as of the date of this review.

Regulator NameTier StatusLicense NumberKey Client Protections
Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (Lirunex Ltd)Tier 1338/17ESMA leverage cap of 1:30, negative balance protection, segregated client funds, compensation fund up to EUR 20,000 (per third-party summaries)
Financial Services Commission, Mauritius (Lirunex Limited)Tier 2GB24203882AML oversight; leverage and risk disclosures largely left to firm policy; no statutory compensation scheme found
Capital Market Authority, UAE (Lirunex Financial Services L.L.C.)Not tiered; fails the activity test for dealing20200000423Category 5 license covers consultation and introductions only; no trade execution or fund handling
Labuan FSAUnverifiedMB/20/0050Cited by third-party sites; absent from the official regulation page as of the date of this review
Financial CommissionNot a regulatorMember since 6 February 2025Dispute resolution; up to EUR 20,000 per claim, paid only if a member ignores a ruling

So, is Lirunex legit? The licenses exist, and the group lists them openly. However, we could not confirm the live CySEC status against the regulator’s own register. The official page also files the Cypriot company under related companies, not as the lead licensee. Readers should check both registers before funding an account.

Is Lirunex safe? For EU clients, the answer leans yes, because ESMA rules cap leverage and guarantee negative balance protection. For everyone else, the Mauritius license offers weaker statutory backing than the 1:30 cap and EUR 20,000 compensation baseline that EU retail clients receive. We could not confirm statutory negative balance protection for non-EU accounts, based on publicly available information.

Two warnings deserve attention. Finance Magnates reported in October 2023 that Securities Commission Malaysia added Lirunex to its investor alert list for offering unauthorized products. Separately, the FCA cancelled the firm’s UK permission in March 2022 after the firm applied to cancel it, according to FastBull. Today, the official site bars residents of Malaysia, Singapore, Japan, Indonesia and the United States, among others.

Execution Quality & Trading Costs

Lirunex only partly meets industry benchmarks. Standard-account pricing and measured speed trail peers, while raw-account pricing sits near the peer range.

WikiFX measured average execution latency at 283.3 milliseconds on the firm’s MT4 demo server. That runs roughly three to nine times slower than the 30 to 100 millisecond range that major STP and ECN peers commonly advertise. WikiFX graded speed AA and slippage B, but gave disconnection resilience a D. We found no verified slippage percentage and no published data on stability during news releases. Our execution score therefore rests on limited, third-party evidence.

Lirunex describes an STP model that routes orders to liquidity providers. Clients can use MT4, MT5 and a proprietary mobile app, plus copy trading and MAM tools.

AccountMinimum DepositEURUSD SpreadCommission per Round Lot
LX-Standard$25From 1.5 pipsNone
LX-Prime$200From 0.0 pipsAbout $8
LX-Pro$10,000From 0.0 pipsAbout $4

Sources disagree on exact commissions, and the official page shows both $4 and $8 tiers. A cent account also exists. Investing.co.uk called the standard spreads wider than it wanted to see for a basic STP account. Peers with raw-spread accounts typically charge about $6 to $7 per round lot. Therefore, Prime’s $8 sits above that baseline, while Pro’s $4 sits below it but demands a $10,000 deposit.

Leverage varies by source. The official account page lists up to 1:1000 on forex pairs and 1:20 on stock CFDs. Third-party reviewers cite up to 1:2000 depending on balance. Both figures dwarf the 1:30 ESMA cap that governs the Cypriot entity.

Lirunex fees outside trading are modest. The broker charges $5 a month after 90 days of inactivity, against $10 at eToro and $50 at AvaTrade in Investing.co.uk comparisons. Reviewers report no broker-side deposit or withdrawal fees. Swaps apply overnight, and Islamic accounts are swap-free. Deposits process Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 15:00 GMT+8, according to Investing.co.uk.

Trader Reputation & Market Presence

Public sentiment on Lirunex is polarized and thinly sampled. Reviews praise fast funding, yet a steady minority alleges withdrawal problems.

Under our four-factor methodology, we reviewed publicly available regulatory disclosures, independent review platforms and trader feedback. We then cross-examined user claims against documented enforcement. Trustpilot showed a score between 3.4 and 3.5 out of 5 across 156 reviews as of the date of this review. That sits just above our 3.0 neutral line. Forex Peace Army showed 1.68 from 15 reviews, and it flagged multiple suspicious positive reviews between January and April 2023.

Positive themes recur. Users cite quick deposits, withdrawals without delay, no requotes and many payment options. Grievances also recur. Some users allege rejected withdrawals, challenged profits and scam activity. One February 2026 Forex Peace Army reviewer reported a rejected withdrawal. Lirunex often answers negative Trustpilot posts with a template that asks users to email support. We cannot verify individual claims. Only one enforcement action surfaced: the Malaysian alert. We found no fines or license revocations. Financial Commission membership since February 2025 gives clients an escalation route.

Corporate developments: based on publicly available information, we found no acquisition, merger, divestiture or ownership change involving Lirunex. Finance Magnates reported expansion into Africa in 2021 and a Kuala Lumpur trading hub in 2022. It also reported a push into China, Thailand and Vietnam in 2023. Coverage in 2026 promoted the UAE license. None of these events changes our ratings.

Strengths & Weaknesses

Strengths Revealed in This Lirunex Review

  • Tier 1 entity for EU clients: CySEC 338/17 brings the 1:30 cap and negative balance protection
  • Low entry cost: $25 minimum, against $100 at AvaTrade in Investing.co.uk comparisons
  • Light inactivity charge: $5 monthly, against $10 at eToro and $50 at AvaTrade
  • Dispute route: Financial Commission cover up to EUR 20,000 per claim since February 2025
  • Product flexibility: Islamic swap-free accounts, copy trading, MAM, MT4 and MT5

Weaknesses Revealed in This Lirunex Review

  • Safety gap outside the EU: Tier 2 Mauritius license; no statutory compensation scheme found
  • Regulatory warning: Securities Commission Malaysia alert, October 2023
  • Costly standard pricing: 1.5-pip spreads, against a peer raw-account commission baseline of $6 to $7
  • Slow measured speed: 283.3 ms, against a 30 to 100 ms advertised peer range
  • High-risk leverage: Up to 1:1000 to 1:2000, against the 1:30 EU cap
  • Polarized reputation: Trustpilot 3.4 to 3.5; Forex Peace Army 1.68

Pricing, Lirunex safe questions and operating costs all point the same way. Cheap entry and light fees come with uneven protection.

Overall Verdict

Our final rating is Bronze Standard at 59.0 points, one point short of Silver. That score comes from the Cyprus entity, the highest of the group’s entity-level results. The Mauritius entity, which serves most clients, scores about 50.3 under the same method.

Lirunex suits experienced, high-risk-tolerant traders outside the EU. They should want a small starting balance, copy trading or swap-free accounts. They should also accept offshore-style protection. It does not suit beginners, residents of restricted countries, or anyone who needs statutory compensation. Against Tier 1 peers such as Pepperstone and OANDA, Lirunex offers cheaper entry but weaker safeguards. Against other mid-shore, high-leverage brokers, it sits near the middle, helped by its CySEC entity and Financial Commission membership.

Lirunex is a Bronze Standard multi-entity CFD broker that offers Tier 1 CySEC protection to EU clients and Tier 2 Mauritius oversight to most other clients.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Lirunex holds an FSC Mauritius license (GB24203882) and a CySEC license (338/17) for its EU entity. It also belongs to the Financial Commission. However, Securities Commission Malaysia placed it on an alert list in October 2023, so verify your entity first.

Yes. Lirunex Limited is regulated by the FSC Mauritius, and Lirunex Ltd is authorized by CySEC in Cyprus. A UAE Category 5 license covers introductions only. Labuan authorization appears on third-party sites but not on the official regulation page.

Safety depends on your entity. EU clients get 1:30 leverage limits and negative balance protection. Other clients face leverage up to 1:1000 or higher and weaker statutory backing, which makes the broker a poor fit for beginners.

Standard accounts charge no commission, with spreads from 1.5 pips. Prime and Pro accounts offer spreads from 0.0 pips plus about $8 and $4 per round lot. A $5 monthly inactivity fee starts after 90 days.

The lowest first deposit is $25, which suits the Standard account. Prime needs about $200, and Pro needs $10,000. Some payment methods carry higher minimums.

No. The official site lists Malaysia, Singapore, Japan, Indonesia and the United States among restricted countries. Securities Commission Malaysia also warned about the firm in 2023.

Expert Review Notes (Staff Insight)

This edition rests on documentary review. We ran no live support tests and no latency measurements of our own, so the staff score stays conservative.

Entity layering stands out. The official page names at least five related companies in Mauritius, Cyprus, the UAE, Hong Kong and Estonia. Only two hold dealing-level financial authority. The Hong Kong company holds a MetaQuotes MT4 license, which is software, not a financial permission. The UAE license covers introductions, and the Estonian company provides auxiliary services.

Marketing and practice diverge in places. The site calls Lirunex multi-regulated, yet it files the Cypriot company under related companies. The Labuan license no longer appears on the regulation page. Aggregators also credit Lirunex with regulators such as BaFin, CNMV and the Maldives. We could not tie those to the official page, so we treat them as unverified.

Disclosure is inconsistent across sources. Leverage ranges from 1:1000 to 1:2000. Prime commission appears as $4 to $8. One review site shows no inactivity fee in a table but cites $5 in its own text. Clients should confirm current terms with their entity.

Routing and incentives matter too. The firm uses an STP model and leans on introducing brokers and a 100% deposit bonus. EU entity clients cannot take such bonuses, according to third-party reviews. That split mirrors the wider safety gap between entities.
