Introduction

This ZXCM review starts with the question every reader asks: should you trust this broker with your money? The honest answer is cautiously, and only with money you can afford to lose. ZXCM, operated by ZX Capital Markets Ltd and registered in Seychelles, holds a Securities Dealer license with the Financial Services Authority (FSA) of Seychelles under license number SD214. The broker operates its retail platform at https://www.zxcm.com/.

Company-supplied press says ZXCM began operating in 2023 and serves clients mainly in North Africa and the Gulf. It offers entry accounts from $100, leverage up to 1:500 and liquidity from Scope Prime. That mix makes it relevant to cost-sensitive traders in emerging markets. However, its regulator sits in the offshore tier, and a second entity in Saint Lucia holds no financial license that we found. Under our four-factor methodology, the Seychelles entity earns a Bronze Standard classification with 43.55 out of 100 points. The Saint Lucia entity would score lower.

Regulation & Safety

ZXCM is regulated, but only by an offshore authority. That means clients get weaker investor protection than a Tier 1 regulator such as the FCA or ASIC would provide.

As of October 26, 2026, the answer to “is ZXCM regulated” is a qualified yes. The FSA Seychelles Capital Markets register lists ZX Capital Markets Ltd among its Securities Dealers. It also lists Hadi Zaarour as the accredited Securities Dealer for the firm. However, the register page we reviewed does not display license numbers, so we could not match SD214 independently.

Every regulator must pass four floor tests before we assign a tier. We classify both the Seychelles FSA and the Saint Lucia International Financial Centre as Tier 3 (offshore).

Regulator NameTier StatusLicense NumberKey Client Protections
Financial Services Authority, Seychelles (ZX Capital Markets Ltd) Tier 3 (offshore) SD214 (stated by the company; not displayed on the public register page) Securities Dealer licensing; AML oversight; no investor compensation scheme identified
Saint Lucia International Financial Centre (ZX Capital Markets Ltd, Saint Lucia) Tier 3 (offshore); registration only Company number 2023-00378 (not a financial license) None identified
Floor TestFinding
Activity LicensingPartial. The FSA lists ZXCM as a Securities Dealer. We found no separate retail forex or CFD license.
Product ControlsNot met. We identified no mandatory leverage cap. ZXCM sets a 20% stop-out level by firm policy.
Capital SafeguardsNot verified. ZXCM claims segregation, but we found no audited isolation rule or compensation fund.
Enforcement OversightPartial. The FSA publishes alerts and revocation notices. We found no public inspections or fines involving ZXCM.

The scope of the license raises a further question. In a January 29, 2021 communiqué, the FSA said a Securities Dealer license covers only securities business done in Seychelles. It added that dealers serving other jurisdictions need the relevant exemption, cross-border agreement or approval. ZXCM markets to clients worldwide. Based on publicly available information, we found no disclosure of such approvals.

The second entity adds complexity. ZX Capital Markets Ltd (Saint Lucia) is registered under company number 2023-00378. A third-party broker review reports that it appears in the Saint Lucia registry with International Business Company status only. That status is not a financial services license. ZXCM publishes separate client documents for each entity. The pages we reviewed do not say which entity a client from a given country joins.

Is ZXCM safe? Client protections are thin. ZXCM says client funds are segregated from company money and held with multiple institutions or wallets in several countries. We could not verify that claim. We found no investor compensation scheme tied to either entity. The site’s risk warning says losses can exceed your investment, so ZXCM does not advertise negative balance protection. Leverage reaches 1:500 on forex. By comparison, the FCA and ESMA-aligned European regulators cap retail leverage on major pairs at 1:30.

We found no regulator warning, country ban or past license cancellation naming ZXCM as of the date of this review. The site restricts residents of the USA, Cuba, Iraq, Iran and North Korea. The FSA does use its enforcement powers. It revoked the dealer license of Aronex Corporation Ltd (SD014) effective January 21, 2021.

Execution Quality & Trading Costs

ZXCM’s advertised pricing looks competitive for its ECN account, but its execution speed cannot be benchmarked. No verifiable latency or slippage data exists in the sources we reviewed.

The company offers four account types on MetaTrader 5. All use market execution, a 20% stop-out level and maximum leverage of 1:500. Spreads are floating and quoted as starting points. The figures below come from the ZXCM accounts page as retrieved before the date of this review.

AccountMinimum DepositSpread (from, floating)CommissionExecution Model
Pro$1001.0 pipNoneMarket
ECN$2,0000.2 pip$7 per lotMarket
Islamic$5001.2 pipsNoneMarket
VIP$50,0000.0 pipNegotiableMarket

Pricing is the clearest strength. The ECN account pairs a 0.2 pip starting spread with a $7 per lot commission. That commission sits near the $6 to $7 range that many raw-spread accounts advertise. We did not run a side-by-side peer test, and ZXCM does not state whether the $7 applies per side or per round turn. The Pro account charges no commission, but its 1.0 pip starting spread is five times wider than the ECN level.

On execution, ZXCM says it has no dealing desk. It also says orders go to tier 1 liquidity venues. In June 2025, Scope Prime announced it would supply liquidity and onboarding support. We could not verify order routing, so we cannot rule out internal dealing. WikiFX lists an MT5 server hosted in the United Kingdom.

MetricResult
Average trade execution speed (milliseconds)Not verified. ZXCM publishes no figure, and we found no independent test.
Documented negative slippage rateNot verified

Stability during high-impact newsNot verified

Leverage rules matter for risk. ZXCM’s FAQ says 1:500 applies to forex pairs and holds while account equity stays below $10,000. Gold is fixed at 1:100. Both figures sit far above the 1:30 baseline that applies to retail clients at FCA-regulated brokers.

For ZXCM fees beyond trading, the company says it applies no hidden fees. We found no account maintenance or inactivity charge in the pages we reviewed. However, we did not read the client agreement’s fee schedule. Withdrawal fee terms remain not verified. WikiFX lists bank transfer, SEPA, Mastercard, Visa, Tether and Skrill as funding options.

The site also lists futures alongside forex, metals, commodities and indices. Its homepage price tables additionally show US share CFDs, although the Markets menu does not.

Trader Reputation & Market Presence

ZXCM draws positive but thin public feedback, and its track record spans about three years. We found no regulator warnings or documented enforcement actions against the broker as of the date of this review.

Under our four-factor methodology, we reviewed regulatory disclosures, independent review platforms and trader feedback sources. We then compared user claims with documented enforcement actions.

Trustpilot shows a TrustScore of 4.5 out of 5, with a numeric average of 4.6 to 4.7 across 24 to 28 reviews, depending on the regional page.

Some reviews carry an “unprompted” label, and the company replies to reviewers. Larger peers commonly carry far more reviews, so this sample is small.

Positive themes are consistent. Reviewers cite fast deposits and withdrawals, helpful support and good execution. These are client claims, and we did not verify them. We found no recurring complaints about payout blocks, sudden account suspensions, spread spikes at rollover or support loops. However, a sample of 28 reviews is too small to rule them out. We also did not locate ZXCM pages on other major complaint platforms. WikiFX rates ZXCM “medium risk” with a regulation sub-score of 2.78 out of 10. A Fastbull analysis urges due diligence because of the offshore structure.

Corporate Developments: We found no acquisition, merger, divestiture, ownership change or rebranding involving ZXCM as of the date of this review. The main development is the June 2025 partnership with Scope Prime, the institutional liquidity brand of Rostro Group. ZXCM was the first broker accepted into Scope Prime’s Strategic Partnership Programme. Scope Prime supplies liquidity and client onboarding support. The partnership strengthens ZXCM’s pricing infrastructure. It does not change its regulatory structure. The Scope Prime brand is also used by MMCD Resources Ltd, which appears on the same FSA Seychelles register. Company-supplied press also mentions entities in Cyprus, the United Kingdom and Lebanon. The ZXCM legal page discloses only Seychelles and Saint Lucia, and we located no authorization for the others.

Strengths & Weaknesses

Our ZXCM review weighs real strengths against structural gaps. The tables below cover pricing, safety and ZXCM fees.

ZXCM review: pricing, platform and access

Strengths

  • ECN spreads start at 0.2 pip plus $7 per lot, close to typical raw-spread pricing
  • Entry accounts start at $100 (Pro)
  • MetaTrader 5 on desktop, mobile and web, with Expert Advisors and a Social Trader app
  • Islamic accounts and demo accounts are available

Weaknesses

  • Execution speed, slippage and news-time stability are unpublished and unverified
  • The ECN account requires $2,000, although banners promote a $100 minimum
  • The Markets menu lists five asset classes, while the homepage also shows stock CFDs
  • Spreads are quoted as “from” levels, with no verified average EURUSD figure

ZXCM review: safety, transparency and costs

Strengths

  • The FSA Seychelles register lists the entity and an accredited dealer
  • No regulator warning or license cancellation found as of the review date
  • Legal documents for both entities are published on the site
  • The site states there are no hidden fees

Weaknesses

  • Offshore Tier 3 oversight offers limited investor protection
  • The Seychelles license covers business done in Seychelles, and no cross-border approvals are disclosed
  • The Saint Lucia entity holds no financial license that we found
  • The risk warning says losses can exceed deposits, and no compensation scheme was found

Overall Verdict

ZXCM earns a Bronze Standard rating with 43.55 out of 100 points. It is a functioning, FSA-listed broker, but offshore oversight and unverified execution data keep it below the Silver band.

The platform suits experienced, risk-tolerant traders who accept offshore regulation. They should want MetaTrader 5, Expert Advisors, low entry deposits and high leverage. It is a poor fit for beginners and for anyone who needs statutory compensation. Funds that cannot be lost should stay elsewhere.

Among peers on the same FSA register, such as Exness (SC) Ltd, XM (SC) Limited and Raw Trading Ltd, ZXCM is the youngest and least documented. Based on publicly available information, several of those groups also run Tier 1 or Tier 2 entities elsewhere. We found no equivalent for ZXCM.

One disclosure matters. The headline rating applies to the Seychelles entity, the higher-scoring of ZXCM’s two entities. A client onboarded to the Saint Lucia entity would get less protection than this rating implies.

ZXCM is an offshore-regulated forex and CFD broker licensed as a Securities Dealer by the Seychelles FSA, rated Bronze Standard with a composite score of 43.55 out of 100.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

ZXCM is a real, operating broker listed on the FSA Seychelles register as ZX Capital Markets Ltd. However, the license is offshore, and we found no Tier 1 or Tier 2 authorization. Our rating is Bronze Standard, so treat it with caution.

Yes, by the Financial Services Authority of Seychelles under a Securities Dealer license, SD214, according to the company. The FSA says such a license covers securities business done in Seychelles. The Saint Lucia entity holds no financial license that we found.

ZXCM says it segregates client funds from company money. We could not verify this. We found no investor compensation scheme, and the site warns that losses can exceed your investment.

The Pro account has no commission and spreads from 1.0 pip. The ECN account has spreads from 0.2 pip plus $7 per lot. We found no inactivity fee in the pages we reviewed, but we did not read the full client agreement.

The Pro account starts at $100. The ECN account requires $2,000, the Islamic account $500 and the VIP account $50,000.

ZXCM offers up to 1:500 on forex, and gold is fixed at 1:100. The 1:500 level holds while equity stays below $10,000. The FCA caps retail leverage on major pairs at 1:30.

Expert Review Notes (Staff Insight)

These notes rely on public documents and website review. Reviewers did not open a live account, test execution or run support interactions for this assessment. The findings below are provisional on those points.

Entity layering stands out first. ZXCM operates through a regulated Seychelles entity and an unlicensed Saint Lucia entity, and press materials mention further entities. The client documents do not make clear which entity serves which client. Prospective clients should ask in writing before they deposit.

Marketing and practice diverge in places. The homepage promotes “0.2 pips with no commissions,” yet the ECN account charges $7 per lot. A banner shows ECN trading from a $100 deposit, while the accounts page sets the ECN minimum at $2,000. The two entity addresses also vary between pages. The Seychelles site address, IMAD Complex 3rd Floor Office 12, differs from the FSA register entry, Unit 102d Ground Floor. The Saint Lucia address differs between the homepage and the legal page.

Third-party data also conflicts. WikiFX lists a 2009 founding year, while company press describes operations beginning in 2023. We rely on the company and Saint Lucia registration data, which point to 2023.

Promotion intensity deserves a note. The site lists ten awards from outlets whose selection criteria we could not verify. An introducing broker contest runs through October 31, 2026, with a Maserati Levante, a Rolex and a Maldives trip as prizes. Such prizes can signal heavy affiliate-driven growth.

On account routing, market execution and the Scope Prime link point to an institutional liquidity feed. That is a positive sign. Without execution statistics, however, we cannot confirm no-dealing-desk claims.
